We are currently looking for a:

Junior Bioinformatician
(1,0 FTE)

Position:

Data analysis for commercial projects is done within the bioinformatics team. These projects are either standardized, using our in-house optimized pipelines to perform mass analyses, or customized, where a novel approach to the data analyses needs to be thought out and performed. Besides, the bioinformatics team is also responsible for maintenance of our internal (meta)genomics and transcriptomics pipelines and databases and for the set-up of new products together with our Product Development team.
Due to the increased demand for data analyses, both in commercial products and product development, we expand our team with an additional bioinformatician. The work is very varied due to the different nature of our commercial projects and the wide range of products we offer.

Profile:

• You are able to manage data analysis for commercial projects independently but and be able to manage deadlines.
• You are quality oriented, trying to get the best results out of the sequencing data.
• Excellent knowledge of Python, Bash and in-depth knowledge of NGS technologies are essential.
• If you have additional experience of microbial genomics, R, NextFlow, Biostatistics as well as an understanding of laboratory management and quality systems, we see this as a benefit.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Bioinformatics with demonstrable bioinformatics, programming and DNA sequence analysis experience.
